It is implemented through the constitution of a public-private participatory body and the formulation of the Strategic Plan for the Development of the Territory (PEDET), which facilitates the inclusive and sustainable development of the territory.The aim is that once the public-private partnership is established; the PEDET is formulated; mechanisms for social inclusion, climate change and gender equality are operational; stakeholders are trained to implement economic and social initiatives derived from the PEDET and lessons learned are shared; governance is strengthened for the inclusive and sustainable development of the rural territories of Pedernales and Barahona and, with their example, contribute to democratic governance, inclusive and sustainable rural growth in the Dominican Republic.
