This project aims to contribute to the improvement of care services for victims of gender-based violence in Santa Rosa de Copán, through the education and training of the professional staff that attends to these victims. These training processes aim to reduce the incidence of Burnout Syndrome among the people who provide care to women, children and adolescents who suffer gender-based violence in Santa Rosa de Copán, through the establishment of an Emotional Support Protocol and the improvement of training in Emotional Intelligence (EI). In addition, it will contribute to the strengthening of the competencies necessary to work with women victims of gender-based violence of the professionals to whom the programme is applied, through training in skills for working in therapeutic groups.
It is expected that, once this project has been developed, a reduction in burnout and an increase in the personal and work well-being of the professionals who participate in the intervention will be achieved, which will result in a lower incidence of pathologies caused by stress. In addition, the aim is to achieve a greater and better competence perceived by the professionals, necessary for working with women victims of gender violence, which will result in an increase in the satisfaction of the users who have been attended to by the professionals participating in the intervention.
