Abstract

This practical guide explains and develops the research objectives and methods used to improve the academic performance and quality of life of children in 11 Fe y Alegría schools, both in one urban and two rural areas of Guatemala. In addition, conclusions are offered as proposals for future lines of research and lessons learned in the development of the project “Improving the academic performance and quality of life of vulnerable children in Guatemala: Comprehensive programme of cognitive and emotional stimulation, development of school gardens and strengthening distance learning in the face of the COVID-19 challenge“, funded by the Andalusian Agency for International Development Cooperation (AACID).
