Abstract

The ETEA Foundation and the Religious Association Fe y Alegría Nicaragua began their collaboration in 2016 with a first joint intervention with the project “Educating for life, peace and gender equality, implementing the INTEMO methodology in schools in Nicaragua”, funded by the Andalusian Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AACID). Later they execute the current project, also funded by AACID, “Prevention of gender violence and promotion of safe environments and healthy coexistence in 11 schools in Nicaragua”, which was approved in the 2018 call for proposals and began its implementation in March 2019.

The project is aimed at four target groups: education professionals from the social entity itself and the collaborating entity (UCA), the students of 11 beneficiary schools, the mothers, fathers or guardians of the students, and the public entities responsible for education and gender-related issues in the country.

The objective of this systematization is to document the implemented experience of the INTEMO Program, the Dialogic Model of Conflict Prevention and Resolution, the Learning as a Family Program and CEPREV Methodology, for the prevention of gender violence and promotion of safe environments and healthy coexistence in 11 educational centers of Fe y Alegría.
