Abstract
Since 1989, ETEA (Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, attached to the University of Cordoba-Spain) has been developing an intense and growing activity of university cooperation. Currently, the activity has been structured within the framework of the ETEA Foundation for Development and Cooperation. In the last six years, cooperation interventions in rural development have been carried out in Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and Vietnam, constituting one of the institution’s lines of specialization. In addition to a brief description of the above-mentioned interventions, this paper proposes a reflection on the lessons learned from the experience. The final objective is to offer for discussion the keys of the interventions in Rural Development of the ETEA Foundation in order to advance towards the definition of a better cooperation policy in rural development.
